It’s not every day that you get a chance to celebrate the famed Richard Neutra’s 120th birthday. The architect passed away back in 1970, but his legacy lives on. The Neutra Institute has planned their second Netura Run/Walk for Health. The event will take place on Sunday, October 7, 2012. The organization is looking ahead towards the event, and has started taking orders now!

According to the Neutra website, participation and/or purchase of any of the items $50 or more will entitle you to one year’s membership in the Neutra Institute. Proceeds from the event go towards preservation – with emphasis on being able to continue the event. The next Run/Walk is scheduled for Earth Day, April 21, 2013. The funds will also benefit the “Preserving VDL” the iconic monument across the street from the event site.
The group is also asking for 75 volunteers for the event on October 7, 2012. Volunteers are needed throughout the day and into the evening. If you’re interested in volunteering your time to celebrate the life of Richard Neutra, email Dion Neutra for more information. You can also email your resume and availability to the Institute specifying how much time you have to share. If you have limited time [morning, afternoon, or evening] please include that information with your email so the event organizers can schedule you accordingly.
